Student life is a completely different story than it was even ten short years ago. Academic expectations, technological advances, and social media exposure have all added pressures to school-age children and teens, and we are seeing the impact on their mental health, school success, and social relationships. Add in the fact that their brains aren't yet fully developed, and you can understand how overwhelm can make a tough situation even worse.
We will discuss strategies to assess a student's organizational needs, pack their "Organization Toolbox" and boost their confidence in managing their busy lives.
This presentation will let attendees discover:
- Tips for identifying student needs.
- How to guide students to organize their thoughts, assignments, and materials so that their brains can be open to learning.
- That learning style, neurodiversity, and personality can all be a part of the puzzle, and that each student's individual needs will drive this process.
Ellen Sklanka is the Founder of Renewal Organizing, and has enjoyed sharing her passion for helping people through her business since 2020, serving students of all ages, helping them to create personalized systems for success. With a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York, and more than 20 years of experience leading others in being their best selves in their workplace, she loves learning what makes people "tick." Connection and collaboration are the foundation of all her work, and she is excited to explore Student Organizing with you!
