As we focus on relationship-building this year, and continue to have our chapter meetings on Zoom, we're eager to offer our members opportunities to connect in person. We think having "neighborhood groups" that can meet occasionally for coffee could be a great way to build community and share local info.

Hosted by Beth Award, Beth Award.com

Our Coffee Chats are open to anyone

We pride ourselves on being a cohesive, positive, enthusiastic group. Brainstorming and idea sharing are encouraged. All meetings begin on time with the intention of ending on time, and we abide by the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) Anti-Trust Compliance Policy during all chapter events. NAPO expects attendees to take responsibility themselves for following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and their local health officials, on measures to reduce infection from COVID-19 and to protect against severe complications. From Organizer to Coach -

Using the organizing experience to empower your clients - CEU-eligible

    Audrey Hamel,

    Founder of Soundview Organizing

    but now AudreyHamel.com

    Tuesday January 9, 2024

    6:15PM - 8:00PM

In Audrey's journey from organizer to coach, she felt pulled to help her clients make deeper change. The thread that ran through her clients' experiences was feeling like they were not enough. They saw themselves as failing - failing at keeping up their house, getting their kids to all of their activities, having the guest room set up for their in-laws. Her primary goal as an Organizer quickly shifted from creating organized spaces to helping her clients believe in themselves. She found that a shift in mindset created a sense of possibility that was not previously available to them. She will be sharing stories and tools you can use to help your clients recognize and build on their successes.

    Attendees will gain knowledge about:

    • Helping clients make lasting change by uncovering their "big why?" (the reason behind why they want organizing help right now)
    • Honoring clients by helping them feel seen.
    • Empowering clients by providing evidence of their own growth.

    Breakout room questions:

    1. What is your favorite thing about being an organizer?

    2. What is one strategy you use when a client gets stuck?

    3. How do you handle a client being hard on themselves?

Audrey is a personal coach and facilitator. She loves helping her clients identify and dismantle their limiting beliefs. There is nothing more satisfying for her than supporting a client in bringing their dreams into reality. Audrey is currently enjoying digging deeper into coaching as she works toward her credential with the International Coaching Federation. She has a degree in somatic studies and is offering workshops focusing on embodied consent and connection in the Tacoma area. Her clients from her previous business, Soundview Organizing, inspired her journey into coaching and she is forever grateful for all they taught her.

    Angela Gillis, Sorticulture

Before launching Sorticulture, Angela Gillis, its Owner and Founder, was a public librarian at Seattle Public Library and a Manager at Boeing and Costco. In every role, Angela experienced digital hoarding "just in case, " leading to wasted time and effort finding the correct data to do her job. Angela's expertise helps businesses achieve maximum productivity and efficiency in the digital realm.

    Val Green, Pivot Organizing

Small spaces is a very different orientation than the typical American home and small spaces are hard to optimize from an organizing perspective. It takes a lot of design skill, or a client who doesn't own very much. Val has been passionate about organizing since she was a kid growing up in a small NYC apartment. She loves the puzzle of making small spaces work: her Masters Thesis in Product Design was on home storage.

    Jean Prominski | Seattle Sparkle

In addition to physical and virtual organizing, Jean also provides energetic organizing for her clients. She weaves together Reiki and other energetic methods to help cleanse and harmonize the space for her clients. Jean is a Certified Professional Organizer. She has an MFA in Glass from Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA in Crafts from University of the Arts. She is a Reiki Master for Usui and Karuna Reiki and offers energetic space clearing. She also has health coaching certifications from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the Health Coach Institute.

    Amy-Ellen Trefsger, Distance Decluttering

Amy-Ellen started as a Professional Organizer in May of 2020, providing virtual services exclusively. She became a Certified Virtual Organizing Professional in the Fall of 2021 and continues to enjoy providing virtual services to residential clients.

    Tuesday, March 5, 2024

Many of us start out as solopreneurs and get very focused on fine tuning our special interest within the organizing field. However, building a diverse business is a smart strategy to ensure stability and growth. I want to challenge those in attendance to think about where they want to be in their business 3, 5, 10+ years down the road. By the end of this presentation, you'll have a clear understanding of how to diversify your business effectively, ensuring its long-term growth and success.

We'll cover: 1) Assessing your current business portfolio. 2) Identifying new opportunities 3) Implementing a diversification strategy

In 2014 Sheila started Blue Nest Home, offering professional organizing services to clients throughout Kitsap County. Today Blue Nest Home employs 12 organizers and provides residential organizing, estate sale, and consignment services to not only Kitsap County but neighboring counties as well. As we focus on relationship-building this year, and continue to have our chapter meetings on Zoom, we're eager to offer our members opportunities to connect in person. We think having "neighborhood groups" that can meet occasionally for coffee could be a great way to build community and share local info.
